Highlights

  • Through Dandelion, Yape enables real-time cross-border payments to bank accounts and mobile wallets, supporting digital remittances across Latin America, Europe and the United States.
  • Yape has expanded its cross-border payments to 14 destination countries through Dandelion's global network.

BUENA PARK, California, September 30, 2026 – Dandelion Payments, a Euronet Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: EEFT) company and the global real-time, cross-border payments network, and Yape, Peru's leading digital payments super app, continue to expand access to cross-border payments from Peru to 14 destination countries.

Over the past year, Yape has significantly expanded the reach of its international money transfer capabilities powered by Dandelion's network, growing from four destination countries to fourteen. Through Dandelion's extensive reach, Yape users can send real-time cross-border payments directly to bank accounts and mobile wallets across key markets in Latin America. This provides a secure and reliable experience for consumers who increasingly expect cross-border digital payments to be as simple and fast as domestic payments, and as easy as sending a text.

Latin America is experiencing a surge in digital payments, with transaction volumes projected to reach USD 300 billion by 2027. This growth is helping accelerate financial inclusion across the region as more people embrace digital financial services. Across Latin America and the Caribbean, 89% of consumers have become digital users. These trends coincide with evolving migration patterns across the region. Between 2020 and 2024, the number of migrants in Latin America and the Caribbean increased from 14.3 million to 17.5 million, with approximately 80% moving within the region itself, primarily within South America.

As communities become more interconnected, demand for real-time and mobile-first payment experiences continues to increase. The collaboration between Dandelion and Yape reflects a shared commitment to improving access to cross-border financial services.

The work carried out between both brands has supported innovative wallet-to-wallet connections, including remittances sent by Yape users in Peru to Yape users in Bolivia, demonstrating how cross-border payments can create simpler and more accessible experiences. The relationship between Dandelion and Yape has also expanded beyond traditional payments. During recent humanitarian emergencies in Venezuela and Colombia, both brands worked together to facilitate zero-fee transfers, helping impacted communities access support when it was most needed.

"Dandelion's collaboration with Yape goes beyond enabling transactions. Together, we're contributing to making Latin America one of the most dynamic payments markets in the world," said Daniel Canning, Managing Director of Dandelion Payments. "Together, we are demonstrating that enabling remittances between wallets, banks and payment networks directly supports financial inclusion and greater economic connectivity across the region."

"At Yape, we are focused on removing friction from the remittance experience for our users. Working closely with Dandelion has enabled us to expand our cross-border payment capabilities, allowing more Peruvians to send money internationally in a simple and secure way," said Nicolas del Aguila, Commercial Manager of Payments and Strategic Partnerships at Yape.
